Bambarakanda waterfall
Bambarakanda waterfall is highest waterfall of Sri Lanka and which is situated at Haldumulla Electorate of Badulla district Sri Lanka. Bambarakanda waterfall is 241meters high. The water fall down with high rock and knock other rocks increase the beauty of this fall. Water comes to this fall from Horton plains and after this water goes to Samanala wawa means the valley looks like a butterfly. After via Valawe river this water goes to sea.
Travel to this place is not easy than other waterfalls of Sri Lanka because this fall is not at near the main road. If you want to travel this there are two ways. But one of them is not good and other one is good. First you come to Kalupahana which is situated on the Balangoda-Haputale road. And turn Udaweria side from Kalupahana junction and come 5 kilometers along that way and you can meet Bambarakanda waterfall. Another way is come from Horton plains or Ohiya. There is 15 km from Ohiya to Bambarakanda falls.
When you travel from Ohiya place first you meet nice tea estate called Udaweria Estate. It's very nice and then you can visit a place which you can visit nice sceneries from it. On clear days you can see long gaps and long distance of area. Some had seen sea also. Sometimes you may not believe it but that's true. You have to visit another place to visit. It called hill safari. You can go on a Safari with there. It is a lodge and there are 4 km from Ohiya to it. In evening you can see only mist.
To travel to Bambarakanda falls from Ohiya is not easy. Because that way is some what damaged. But when you go there in this way definitely you cant believe your eyes. Before travel that way first you should find four wheel vehicle. Near the Bambarakanda falls there is another fall. It's also beautiful
Baker's Falls
Baker's Falls is a famous waterfall in Sri Lanka. It is situated in Horton Plains National Park on a tributary of the Belihul Oya. The height of the Baker's waterfalls is 20 metres (66 ft). The falls were named after Sir Samuel Baker, who was a famous explorer. Many Rhododendron and Fern bushes can be seen around the waterfall. Baker's waterfall is one of very beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka. . It is very beautiful because in various corners we can see various sceneries. The waterfall like steps, In top side we can see a pool and this point fall divide more than thousand of parts and made beautiful scenery in middle of the fall. Below the middle of fall there has another waterfall. It also very beautiful. Include all things and fall become the most beautiful waterfall in Sri Lanka.
There has the tree which inside of Baker's Waterfall. It gives more valuable to fall. You can't take a photo without this tree. This fall is situate at Horton plains. If you travel to visit Worlds End via Horton plains don't miss to visit this place. Some person has missed to visit this place because they don't think there has very beautiful and very big this type of waterfall. How we believe this.
St.Clair Water fall
St.Clair is a name of the tea estate and a cool climate place of Thalawakele of Sri Lanka. St.clair waterfall is a very beautiful and wide waterfall of Sri Lanka. St.clair is a place between Hatton and Thalawakale. Both places are at Nuwaraeliya district of Sri Lanka. Devon waterfalls St.clair waterfalls and many beautiful waterfalls are at Kothmale river.This waterfall comes via upper Kothmale and various places. Thalawakele, Nanuoya, Hatton and other places closed to this place is known as large and upcountry beautiful tea estates of Sri Lanka.
St.clair is a very beautiful place. This waterfall has large amount of water. There fore it increases demand and beauty of this waterfall. St.clair is a western name. Before 1948 AD Sri Lanka was govern by British government. They used to grow tea in upcountry lands and export it to UK. In that time they hippies about this waterfall and place the name like this.
Many places of This region has nice and big tea estates. Thalawakele, Dayagama, Hatton, Great western, Hillwood, Blackwood, Horton plains, and various tea factories. You can visit these tea factories as well. Tamil workers are work in tea estates. This workers have political party called Sri Lanka workers congress and it's controlled by Mr. Thondaman.
Thalawakele has nice railway station and special points are also at there. Thalawakele rail way is narrow road and in little distance train travels up to several kilometers.
St.clair is at clsed to the main road and railway.
Elgin waterfall
Elgin waterfalls at Ambewela Sri Lanka. Elgin waterfalls is situated at Ambewela. You should travel 3km to Nanuoya side then you meet big railway bridge and next elgin waterfalls meet. Elgin waterfalls at downside of railway. This rail way is not a single one. It is collection of two or more waterways. Near eligin waterfall there is a deep railway tunnel. You can see wide grass lans and Ambewela farm in elgin waterfalls.
Elgin waterways are very pure. Bath in Elgin and close to elgin is some what difficult thing. Because there are no way to closed to it. There is a little village and railway station called Parakumpura between Ambewela and Nanuoya. Dayagama , Ambewela, Pattipola and closed places grows potatoes as well. seed potatoes also available and farms and many houses. Many farmers of Welimada use to buy seed potatoes from these places. How ever elgin falls is nice waterfall of Sri lanka.
Parakumpura Railway station is at between of Ambewela and Nanuoya.
Garandi waterfal
Garandi waterfals is situated at Ramboda Thawalanthanne of Nuwaraeliya district.It is a beautiful because its shape.which means this waterfall likes snake so its cold “Garadi”. Top of the waterfall there are two waterways are combined. After combined falls downside as one waterfall. Those two waterways starts in several palces. Near Garandiella falls there are another waterfall called Ramboda waterfalls. When you travel to Nuwaraeliya via Peradeniya you should meet both waterfalls at Thawalanthanna Kothmale Ramboda places.
Downside of Garandi waterfalls is Kothmale Jalasha means Kothmale Wally. It is very big one and many megawatts of electricity is produced daily. Kothmale is known as milk paradise of Sri Lanka. Kothmale has sub cultural system. Enterence to Kothmale is called Thawalanthanna junction.
Wawandon estate is surrounded to Garandi falls and you have to enter to the village called Garandi falls to view falls in closed. The picture on left is taken from the main road.
Kothmale Mahaweli Pagoda is big Pagoda of Sri Lanka. You can see it in the place of Garandi waterfalls. This Pagoda is being made. This Pagoda is not higher only RuwanweliMahaseeya and Jethawanaramaya of Sri Lanka. That is at Kothmale. When you travel to Nuwaraeliya in next new year season of April don't miss to see Garandi falls.

This fall is Ramboda waterfalls at Ramboda in Sri Lanka. Ramboda falls at closed to Ramboda bridge and it cannot see at the main road of Nuwaraeliya - Peradeniya. . This waterfalls is at downside of the bridge. Waterways of near the Ramboda is fantastic there fore most of visitors think waterfalls is at up side of the Ramboda.
When you came to Ramboda place please stop your vehicle and visit go along the footpath at down side of the Ramboda bridge and visit the Ramboda waterfall.
Near the Ramboda there is longest road tunnel of Sri Lanka. It is made in 2006 -2007 years and also In Ramboda you can visit the Kothmale Valley and Kothmala Mahaweli Pagoda as well. Mahaweli Dagaba of Kothmale is very higher than many Pagodas of Sri Lanka and not than Ruwanweli Dagaba of Anuradhapuraya.
